SideEye AI ("the service", "we") is an entertainment app for AI photo processing, available on Telegram (bot and Mini App) and as a standalone Android app. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how to delete it.
The service is intended for people 18 and older
We do not knowingly collect data from users under 18. Before you can use the service, the app shows a mandatory notice (how the service works, an AI-content disclaimer, and a confirmation that you are 18 or older). The service cannot be used until you accept it.
What data we collect
When signing in with Google (Android app only): your email and first name from your Google account, used to create a profile and to display it on the shared leaderboard (ranked by number of generations).
When using Telegram (bot and Mini App): your Telegram ID and username, provided by Telegram itself — we never request or see your phone number or other Telegram profile data.
Uploaded photos: the photo you upload for processing, as well as the generated result, are stored in our cloud storage (Supabase Storage) so you can return to the result, share it, or use the "story" format.
Technical usage data: remaining/used generation counts, selected interface language, chosen intensity and character — required for the service to function (limits, PRO access). If you joined through an invite link, we also store who invited you.
"Roast me my way" text: if you use the custom-prompt feature, the text you enter is passed through a content-safety check before generation.
Consent record: the date and time you accepted the notice are stored in your profile as proof of consent.
Stored on your device (Android app): your chosen interface language and a marker that you accepted the notice — kept locally on your phone; we do not use them to track you.
How we use your data
Data is used solely to run the service: processing photos and generating the reply text, tracking free/PRO generation limits, and displaying the leaderboard (only your name and generation count — never your email, phone, or the photos themselves). We do not sell user data and do not share it with third parties for marketing.
Who we share data with (processors)
To run the service, we use the following external data processors, each only to the extent needed for its task:
Google Gemini — processes the uploaded photo to generate the result.
Anthropic Claude — generates the character's reply text and checks the safety of user-submitted text (custom-prompt feature).
Supabase — database and file storage (photos, results, profiles).
Railway — hosts the service's server, which handles requests (including photos in transit).
Google Sign-In (Android only) — authentication.
All data transfers to these services are encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).
Data storage and deletion
Photos and results are stored until you delete your account or request deletion manually. To delete your account and all associated data (profile, photos, results), email the contact address below — we will delete your data within 30 days.
